Norway Lake with Loon – Suzanne Hardy

NORWAY — The Western Maine Art Group presents a solo exhibition of works “Observation, Perception, Imagination!” by Center Lovell artist Sandra Josephine Bell.  In addition, the group’s Main Street Gallery presents artwork from member artists on the theme “Reflections.”

Opening receptions will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, May 6 at the Matolcsy Art Center, 480 Main Street, and at the Main Street Gallery, 426 Main Street, both in Norway.

Sandra Bell is known primarily for her studio and en Plein air oil paintings of Kezar Lake and the villages and countryside of Western Maine. She describes her representational painting style as “mood realism”. The exhibition will expand beyond the traditional and will introduce a comprehensive collection of new works in a variety of styles, subject matter, and presentation. Visit Ms. Bell’s website at www.kezarstudio.com for a viewing of works.

The exhibition at the MAC will be open Saturdays from noon to 3 p.m. in May, by appointment, and whenever the “OPEN” sign is displayed. The Main Street Gallery is open from 11-5, Tuesday to Friday, and Saturdays, from 10-2.
