Thomas McDonald
LEWISTON – Thomas McDonald, 71, of Gardiner passed away at St. Mary’s Hospital on April 16, 2022. Thomas was born Feb. 16, 1951, the son of Merle and Nancy (Peterson) McDonald.
Educated in local schools Thomas then went onto having a long career working at Pioneer Plastics where he worked for many years retiring in the 2008.
Thomas married his wife Jeanette Cote in September of 1983, and shared 38 beautiful years together. Beyond work he was also very active in the community, first being a part of the Jaycee’s then also being part of the Oddfellows organizations.
Thomas is survived by his stepchildren, Dan Tremblay and wife Heather, Joanne Tremblay and fiancé Jesse English, former daughter-in-law Lisa Tremblay; his brother George and wife Tania Botery, his sister Jan Jordan and her husband Bob; his grandchildren, Joseph and Jasper English, Courtney, Temperence, Greyson, and Phoenix Tremblay. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Thomas was predeceased by his parents; as well as his son Mike McDonald.
A burial for Thomas will be in Bowdoinham Cemetery at a later date.
