
Lewiston Regional Technical Center has named Kristen Little its 2022 student of the year. She personifies the best of CTE and has distinguished herself amongst her most talented and committed peers, according to a news release from the center.
During the pandemic lockdown, Little volunteered to prepare meals for hundreds of local seniors, veterans and homeless on a daily basis. She devoted hundreds of hours to make sure her neighbors had healthy and delicious meals.
She volunteered in her church music ministry and on a mission to Honduras. She is active in Maine Youth Court and Project 7 club at Lewiston High.
Little, who maintains regular employment in local restaurants, is a SkillsUSA local and state gold medalist in wedding cake decorating and a bronze medalist in local commercial baking.
She is a member of Bridge Academy, NTHS and NHS, and earned her ServSafe Manager’s certification.
Little plans to attend Urshan College to pursue a career in human services and psychology.
