HUDSON, Fla. – Denise Huntington, 71, died Friday Jan. 21, 2022, at her home in Hudson, Fla. Born in Lewiston, she was the daughter of Armand and Gracieuse Bachand.

Denise was a graduate of Saint Dominic High School and St Mary’s nursing school. She was an accomplished R.N. in the emergency room at Saint Mary’s where she worked for many years. Denise was an ambitious, hard working compassionate person who loved her career as a nurse.

She was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved to play cards, was an avid sports fan, was a great cook and even had a recipe published in the Sun Journal. She loved Popham Beach, Moxie, Luiggi’s Pizza and Graziano’s.

Denise is survived by her daughter Emily Madore and two sons Jeff Huntington and Michael Daly; grandchildren Luke and Isaac Madore, Whit and Savannah Daly, Bella and Preston Huntington. We will miss her dearly.

She will be remembered at a Mass on Sunday May 15 10:30 a.m. at Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul.
