Armanse “Ann” (Faucher) Dumais

AUBURN – Armanse “Ann” (Faucher) Dumais, passed away on April 27, 2022, at Schooner Memory Care , in Auburn. She was born on Jan. 4, 1937 in Auburn.Ann was the oldest of five children born to Noella (Girardin) and Germain Faucher. She married the love of her life, Rudolph “Rudy” Dumais on Nov. 8, 1958. They celebrated 61 years together until Rudy’s death in 2019.Ann leaves behind a sister, Doris Fabian of Edgewater, Fla.; her four children, David Dumais of Wales, Michael Dumais and his wife Lucie of Monmouth, Lisa Dumais and her husband Jeff of Winthrop, and Carol Griffin and her husband Edward of Rochester, N.H. She had 12 grandkids and 15 great-grandkids. Ann was predeceased by her parents; her husband, a brother, Jerry Faucher, and two sisters, Dorothee Drapeau and Lorraine Heldman.Mom was a devout Catholic and a lifelong member of Holy Family Church in Lewiston. She had a strong faith in God and a special love for St. Anthony who always came through for her even when she was praying for others.Mom was a hard worker, sewing shoes from home then working at Arrowheart and Fancy Stitchers until she retired. She was a devoted wife, mother, memere and grand memere. Ann loved her family fiercely and loved spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids, who could always count on several neck kisses and squishes. Mom’s infectious smile and gentle soul will be missed by all who knew and loved her. The family would like to thank Schooner Memory Care and Androscoggin Hospice, for loving her and taking care of her. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on May 12 at Holy Family Church, 607 Sabattus St., Lewiston.
