DIXFIELD — Jayden Perreault drove in two runs in Spruce Mountain’s three-run top of the third inning in a 3-2 MVC baseball win over Dirigo on Monday afternoon at Bob McPhee Baseball Diamond.

Garrett Hunt had the other RBI in the inning.

Elie Timler had a double for the Phoenix (5-2), while Isaac Parker pitched all seven innings for Spruce Mountain, striking out 13 and allowing two hits.

Trent Holman had a solo home run for the Cougars (3-3) and Trenton Hutchinson had an RBI. Charlie Houghton pitched seven innings, striking out nine and allowing six hits.

MT. BLUE 6, LEWISTON 4: The Cougars (4-4) scored four runs in the seventh inning to take down the Blue Devils (3-4) in Lewiston.

Mt. Blue’s four-run seventh turned a 3-2 deficit into a 6-3 lead.

Jayden Meader had two of the Cougars’ eight hits, while Isaac Wrigley and Evan Downing each had a double and Wrigley and Nolan Leso scored two runs apiece.

Leso (eight strikeouts, five hits) pitched six innings before being relieved by Hayden Dippner in the seventh inning. Dippner allowed a hit and a run, but held on to earn the win.

Lewiston’s Michael Caron had three hits, including a double, and drove in three runs. Michael Dymkoski tripled and scored a run and Tanner Anctil scored twice.

EDWARD LITTLE 10, BRUNSWICK 6: The Red Eddies (4-5) rebounded from a rough start to rally past the Dragons (0-8) in Brunswick.

Edward Little trailed 5-0 after one inning and 6-0 after two, but Brody Keefe relieved and shut down Brunswick the rest of the way, striking out six.

Aiden Gonzalez had three hits, three RBIs and two runs for the Red Eddies, who scored two in the fifth, six in the sixth and two in the seventh.

Sam Masse, Thomas Harvey and Declan Lay each had a pair of hits for the Dragons, and Anthony Cooley hit a triple.

OAK HILL 13, HALL-DALE 2 (5 INN.): Kyle Delano had two hits and three RBIs in the Raiders’ (3-4) five-inning win over the Bulldogs (5-2) in Wales.

Trent Drouin had two hits and two RBIs, Jackson Arbour had a single and double and drove in a run, and Isaac Morissette also had two hits. Maverick Swan and Caden Thompson each drove in two runs.

All 13 runs were scored in the first inning.

Ethan Vattaso pitched all five innings, allowing six hits and striking out six.

Jason Leach had two hits and an RBI for Hall-Dale, while Max Byron added an RBI.

ST. DOMINIC 11, TRAIP ACADEMY 8: Miles Frenette and Tim Ouellette had three hits apiece for the Saints (3-3) as they scored five runs in the top of the seventh and rallied past the Rangers (0-10) at Kittery.

Ryan Bussiere added a pair of hits for St. Dominic.

Quinn Alessi and Cam Maes had two hits apiece for Traip Academy.

ERSKINE ACADEMY 7, LEAVITT 2: The Erskine Academy baseball team (6-1) scored seven runs over the final four innings to prevail in a Class B South battle with Leavitt (3-5) in Turner.

Isaac Hayden blasted a home run for Erskine, and Grady Hotham had a double and a single. The Eagles also got a double from Emmert Appel in the victory, the team’s fourth straight.

For Leavitt, which lost despite outhitting Erskine 8-2, Noah Carpenter had two doubles and a single. Kaden Trenoweth had a double and a single for the Hornets, and Will Keach added a double of his own.

Tristan Anderson claimed the win for Erskine. Carpenter was the losing pitcher for Leavitt.

MADISON 14, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 1: The Bulldogs (5-4) scored multiple runs in four of the five innings to pull away from the Falcons (0-8) in Rumford.

Jack Theriault led the Madison offense with two of the Bulldogs’ six hits, to go along with three RBIs. Deacon Murray and Dom Mercier combined on a five-hitter.

For Mountain Valley, Zach New had two of the hits, including a double.

YARMOUTH 3, POLAND 1: Gibby Sullivan had RBI singles in the bottom of the first and again in the sixth to pace the offense for the Clippers (5-3) as they defeated the visiting Knights (4-3) at Yarmouth.

Hunter Gibson drove the run for Poland with a sacrifice fly in the top of the first.

Liam Hickey allowed just a single in 5 1/3 scoreless innings, fanning eight batters, to pick up the victory for Yarmouth. Andrew Cheever retired all five batters faced, striking out three, to pick up second save of the season.

YORK 10, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 5: The Wildcats (6-3) scored four runs in the first inning, five in the fifth and beat the Patriots (3-6) at York.

Freshman John Jacobsohn entered in the fifth and pitched three innings, getting the win.

Joe Neal had a two-run single in the fifth as York moved from a 5-4 deficit to a 9-5 lead.

HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL

TELSTAR 10, CARRABEC 6: Makenzie Eliot pitched a three-hitter and had two hits, including a triple, in an MVC win over the Cobras in Bethel.

The Rebels scored four runs in the fourth and six in the fifth to turn a 1-0 deficit into a 10-2 lead. Carrabec scored four runs in the top of the seventh but couldn’t rally all the way back.

Eliot struck out 11 batters in the circle. Leah Kimball and Karen Marshall both had two hits and scored two runs. Kimball drove in three runs and Marshall had two RBIs.

Shyanne Holmes took the loss in the circle for the Cobras, despite striking out 12 batters. At the plate, she had two hits, including a double, and an RBI.

MONMOUTH ACADEMY 8, BUCKFIELD 2: Brooklyn Federico struck out 15 batters to lead the Mustangs to a win over the Bucks in Monmouth.

Kayla Truman and Grace Levesque added doubles at the plate for Monmouth (6-0).

Alyssa Litchfield cracked a home run for Buckfield (1-6).

LEAVITT 4, ERSKINE ACADEMY 3: Sam DeBlois hit a home run as part of her three-hit performance in the Hornets’ close win over the Eagles in Turner.

Leavitt struck early with two runs in the second before Erskine countered with all three of its runs in the top of the fourth. Maddy Dutil tripled home a run in the bottom of the fourth to tie the game and the Hornets tacked on another run in the frame.

DeBlois collected two RBIs to go along with her three hits. Dutil had a pair of hits and Hailey Turcotte added a double as part of a 10-hit Leavitt attack. Abby Albert earned the win in the circle.

Mackenzie Toner hit a double for the Eagles and pitched all six innings. Madison Lully had a pair of hits for Erskine.

POLAND 16, YARMOUTH 4 (5 INN.): Emma Bunyea had four hits, including a two-run double, and drove in six runs to lead Poland (7-0) past the Clippers (0-8) in five innings at Yarmouth.

Gretchyn Paradis struck out nine for Poland, which led 5-0 through two innings, then added seven in the third.

Emma Butsch had a single and a double, and drove in two runs for Yarmouth.

ST. DOMINIC 17, TRAIP ACADEMY 5: Kathleen Dean had a double and single with four RBIs — and also allowed one run on four hits while striking out 11 — as the Saints (8-0) beat the Rangers (0-8) in Kittery.

Emily Andrews had four hits for St. Dom’s while Cami Casserly, Benedict Yombe and Isabella Webster had multiple hits.

The Saints scored two runs in the first, on run in the second and third innings while scoring three in the fourth and four in the fifth. They tacked on six more runs in the seventh.

Traip scored three runs in the fifth and one run in the sixth and seventh innings.

Morgan Wilcox had a single and double for the Rangers while Nora Gilber had a RBI on two hits.

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 6, DIRIGO 3: The Phoenix (2-5) scored three times in the top of the seventh inning to pull away in a back-and-forth matchup against the Cougars (3-3) in Dixfield.

Leah Burgess had a double and an RBI for Spruce Mountain, while Jaydn Pingree, Makinlee Holt and Jazmine Pingree each had an RBI.

Spruce Mountain took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first before Dirigo tied it in the bottom of the inning. The Cougars went up 2-1 in the bottom of the second, but Spruce Mountain scored twice in the top of the third for a 3-2 lead. Then Dirigo tied the game with a run in the bottom of the fifth.

Kallie Errington had a double and two RBIs for Dirigo.

BRUNSWICK 16, EDWARD LITTLE 2: The Brunswick softball team broke open a close game by scoring 14 runs through the third and fourth innings to roll past Edward Little 16-2 in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A game Monday.

Kelsey Sullivan hit a three-run homer — her seventh long ball of the season — in the fourth inning. She had three hits, including a double and five RBIs

Sophia Moorin and Morgan Foster each had three hits each for the Dragons. Morin drove in four runs.

YORK 17, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 1: The Wildcats (8-0) scored 15 runs in the fourth inning and defeated the visiting Patriots (2-7).

Jill Carr, Elly Bourgoine and Emily Estes each drove in three runs. Estes had three hits, while Carr, Bourgoine and Maddy Raymond had two.

McKayla Kortes pitched a two-hitter with nine strikeouts.

MADISON 2, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 0: Mackenzie Robins and Lilly Levesque each had three hits to lead the Bulldogs to an MVC win over the Falcons in Rumford.

Brooke McKenney struck out eight batters to earn the win in the circle for Madison (7-1).

Mountain Valley falls to 2-6.

HALL-DALE 5, OAK HILL 0: Taurence Tibbetts had four hits and a RBI in the Bulldogs’ (7-0) win over the Raiders (3-4) in Wales.

Ashlynn Donahue had two hits for Hall-Dale. The Bulldogs scored two runs each in the first and second innings and rounded out the scoring in the fifth.

Kelsey Young, Sierra Lane and Eli Smith each had a hit for Oak Hill.

GIRLS LACROSSE

MT. BLUE 13, EDWARD LITTLE 6: Eryn Parlin had five goals to lead the Cougars (3-2) to a win over the Red Eddies (2-5) in Auburn.

Chloe Roberts added four goals for Mt. Blue and Alissa Butterfield had two goals and an assist. Emma Dunn scored a goal and dished out two assists and Talia Kidder scored the other goal. Michelle Seaberg made eight saves.

Megan Lachance scored three goals while Izzy Haves had two goals for Edward Little. Caroline Audette also scored. Hailee Brown made 18 saves.

YORK 17, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER/POLAND 3: Rose Pavuk had seven goals and six assists to lead the Wildcats (5-1) over visiting Gray-New Gloucester/Poland (1-5) in York.

Emma Joyce, Ella Boissoneault and Kristen MacAuley each scored her first varsity goal and were among eight players with a single goal for York. Dilyana Djenkova stopped two shots for her first varsity win.

CONY 14, LEWISTON 8: A six-goal effort from Raegan Bechard powered the Rams (5-1) to victory over the Blue Devils (1-4) in Augusta.

Abigail Morrill and Andrea Richardson also got multi-goal games for Cony with two apiece, and Azabell Assaf, Emma Doiron, Maci Freeman (two assists) and Dinah Wadleigh added a goal each. Madison Chavarie had six saves for the Rams.

Lewiston got three goals from Mya Grant and two goals apiece from Leah Dube and Lilly Gish. Elaina Gendron had three saves in net.

YARMOUTH 15, OXFORD HILLS 5: Kate D’Appolonia had six goals and four assists as the Clippers (4-3) built a 10-1 lead at halftime and beat the Vikings (3-3) at Yarmouth.

Neena Panozzo had three goals and a pair of assists for Yarmouth, Sadie Carnes and Anna Powers added two goals each while Lauren Keaney also scored.

Kelsey Bennett had two goals for Oxford Hills.

BOYS LACROSSE

MT. ARARAT 7, LEWISTON 5: Kaiden Getchell’s hat trick helped the Eagles hold off the Blue Devils in Topsham.

Mt. Ararat jumped out to a 2-0 lead after one quarter and stretched it to 4-1 at halftime. Zander Kirk added two goals and an assist, John Martin notched a goal and two assists and Jack Gillaman scored the other goal.

Daven Langelier scored a pair of goals for Lewiston, and Liam Hutchinson, Eli Bigelow and Cody Dionne each added one. Hutchinson, Langelier and Dionne each notched assists.
