How fortunate Auburn is to have Bettyann Sheats running for the District 20 state Senate seat.
Uniquely experienced in serving this community, Maine, and her country, Bettyann both listens and rolls up her sleeves to get things done. She would be ready on Day One to effectively fight for Auburn in Augusta.
But Bettyann Sheats is more than someone running for public office. She’s a veteran, a former Blackhawk helicopter pilot and platoon leader who values leadership and teamwork. She’s a Mainer by choice and commitment, a business owner who knows firsthand what’s involved in running a small business, and an active volunteer working to better her community for the past 20 years.
She is, in short, the gold standard as a person, leader and advocate. With a deep commitment to finding common ground and common sense solutions to real issues in Maine, she would serve all of us well.
