Geiger promotes two associates

LEWISTON — Promotional products distributor Geiger has promoted Michael French and Johnathan Plummer to new roles and responsibilities.

French has been promoted to web development manager in the corporate programs department. Dawn LaPrell, director of web and operations, said, “After a decade of industry experience and working with our ecommerce provider, Mike has the knowledge and expertise to lead the web development team as we implement an upgraded version of our ecommerce ,platform and new enterprise system.”

French lives in Wayne with his wife, Tori, and cat Asher, and also performs as the front man/singer/guitarist for the popular band, Every Other Sunday. French earned a bachelor’s degree in human ecology from the College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor where he focused on science and education. After graduation, he discovered a love of web design and proceeded to learn graphic and web design on his own.

Plummer has been promoted to creative lead in the corporate programs department. He graduated from Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont, with a bachelor’s degree in multimedia and graphic design. He started at Geiger as a production artist and was soon promoted to web designer.

In his new role, his main focuses are web design and user experience. He will also be responsible for coordinating workflow, quality control, and provide guidance for the web design and production art teams. “Johnathan’s attention to detail and appreciation for ecommerce trends and web accessibility best practices makes him a natural fit as creative lead,” Dawn LaPrell, director of web and operations, said.
