Rae B. Perreault

FARMINGTON – Rae B. Perreault, 84, a resident of Jay, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2022 at Woodlands Living Center in Farmington with her daughter by her side.

She was born Sept. 30, 1937 in Livermore Falls, the daughter of Raymond Brown and Mary (Mitchell) Brown. She was a 1955 graduate of Livermore Falls High School. On Sept. 14, 1963 at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay she married Roger Perreault of Jay. They enjoyed 53 years together before his passing on Dec. 6, 2016. Rae had worked as an office manager for Drs. Pakulski and Beeaker, optometrists, in Livermore Falls for many years and later as a nanny for Emily LaFleur, who has always held a special place in her heart.

Rae was a communicant of St. Rose Church and sang in the choir. She was a volunteer at the food bank, a member of the V.F.W. Post #3335 Auxiliary, and a member of the Melodears singing group for more than 50 years. The group performed on the Ted Mack show in New York City, N.Y. in the 1950s and they continued to perform at festivals and nursing homes in the Jay and Livermore Falls area for many years.

Her children and grandchildren meant the world to her and brought her so much joy. She devoted most of her days to caring for them and loving them unconditionally.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen Fogg and husband Frank of York, her son, Douglas Perreault of Livermore Falls, daughter-in-law, Mary Howes of Jay; grandchildren Sydney, Jake, and Sam Fogg, Meghan Perreault, Alexis Blodgett, Jayden Perreault; and great-grandson, Sebastian; sister, Mary Lou Morrison and husband Alan of Wilton; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Roger; her son, Kevin Perreault; and siblings David Laurent, AKA Cloyd Brown, Robert, William and Byron Brown, sisters Patricia Coates and Anne Brown.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m., on Monday, June 6 at St. Rose of Lima Church, 1 Church St., Jay. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, 445 Park St., Livermore Falls. Arrangements by FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 15 Church St., Livermore Falls.
