DIXFIELD — Lisbon capped off an undefeated regular season with a 5-1 road win over Dirigo in MVC baseball action Tuesday.

Ethan Brown homered, Levi Tibbetts doubled and pitched three innings of one-hit relief, and Hunter Brissette and Aiden Parker each had two hits for the Greyhounds (16-0). Mason Booker started on the mound, scattering one hit and two walks while striking out five in three shutout innings, while also collecting one of Lisbon’s nine hits at the plate. Tibbetts struck out six and Brissette struck out the side in the seventh inning.

Trenton Hutchinson and Charlie Houghton notched the hits for the Cougars (9-7).

MOUNTAIN VALLEY 8, MADISON 5: The Falcons (3-13) took the early lead and held on against the Bulldogs (6-10) in Madison.

Mountain Valley struck first in the second with a single run, made it 2-0 in the third and scored three more runs in the top of the fourth before Madison got on the board to make it 5-2 after four innings. The Bulldogs made it interesting with two runs in the bottom of the seventh.

Seneca Jones notched a pair of hits and pitched the first six innings for the Falcons, and Zach New also had two hits. Jakob Lapointe and Leon Salmon, who closed out the game on the mound, each recorded doubles.

Jack Theriault took the loss on the mound for Madison, which mustered four hits against Mountain Valley’s pitchers.

OXFORD HILLS 8, SKOWHEGAN 2: Andrew Merrill hit a pair of home runs and drove in five runs as Oxford Hills (14-2) wrapped up its regular season with a road win over the River Hawks (8-8) in Skowhegan.

Merrill, who went 3 for 3, also had a double and scored a run. Eli Soehren pitched 6 1/3 innings and struck out eight to earn the win.

Tyler Annis homered for Skowhegan, while Ben Morgan and Payson Washburn each tallied two hits.

SOFTBALL
DIRIGO 5, LISBON 4:
The Cougars (7-9) earned the walk-off win with one out in the bottom of the seventh to put away the Greyhounds (5-11) in Dixfield.

Dirigo staked itself to a 4-0 lead after three innings, then saw that lead evaporate in the fifth and sixth innings, when Lisbon scored four unearned runs against Cougars pitcher Grace Robbins.

Robbins collected two of Dirigo’s six hits against Lisbon pitcher Erica Hill, including a double, and drove in two runs. Kallie Errington also doubled for Dirigo.

Hill notched two of Lisbon’s five hits against Robbins, including a triple. Delany McGrath recorded a double and Elle Burkhardt drove in two runs.

MONMOUTH ACADEMY 11, MT. ABRAM 1 (5 INN.): Taylor Truman tallied a double, triple and two RBIs to lead the Mustangs to a five-inning win over the Roadrunners in Monmouth.

Brooklyn Federico picked up the win in the circle for the Mustangs (13-3). Shannah Parsons added three hits.

Mt. Abram falls to 5-10.

MADISON 11, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 0 (5 INN.): Brooke McKenney tossed a one-hit shutout and struck out 10 batters to lead the Bulldogs to an MVC win over the Falcons in Madison.

McKenney, Abi Linkletter and Gilly Bonito each had two hits for Madison (15-1).

Brooke Bennett had a single for Mountain Valley (7-9).

BOYS LACROSSE

CONY 21, EDWARD LITTLE 7: Jack Morrill led a potent offense with five goals and two assists as the Rams (5-7) earned a senior night win in Augusta.

Nick Geneseo (four assists) and Logan Tyler (assist) had four goals apiece, while Brodi Freeman (assist) and Kyle Crooker each scored two and Casey Mills had a goal and an assist. Eli Beland made 19 saves.

Wesley Clements scored six goals for the Red Eddies (2-10). Tyler Smith had a goal and Daulton David made 14 saves.
