Philip W. Wakefield

AUBURN – Philip W. Wakefield, 48, of 208 Eastman Lane, Auburn, died unexpectedly in Bethel on May 31, 2022.Born in Portland on August 27, 1973, he was the son of Philip and Mary Ann (Welch) Stetson, whom he is predeceased by.

Educated in local schools, Phil married Monica J. Soucy on Oct. 5, 2000. Always good with his hands, Philip worked as a carpenter for many years. He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan, he loved to shoot darts, was proud of his Matchbox car collection, but most importantly loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Besides his loving wife of Auburn, he is survived by three sons, Damon Wakefield, Spencer, and Christopher, five daughters, Isabella Wakefield, Haley Wallingford, (her companion Jonas Ryerson) Whitney Wallingford, (her companion Joshua Passalaqua), Nina Nichols, and Delani; two brothers, John Stetson (his companion Melissa Rollins) and Stanley Wakefield; three sisters, Nancy Falcone, Grace Couchon, and Donna. He had eight grandchildren, Aliyah, Jaelynn, River, Jonas, Josiah, Alixx, Temaur, and Christian; a very special mother-in-law Penny Craig (her companion Dana Gallant); and several nieces and nephews whom he adored.

Services will be held Saturday, June 11, at East Auburn Baptist Church, with visitation starting at 10:30 a.m. and prayers at 11 a.m. Memories may be shared at http://www.albert-burpee.com.
