Paul J. Morneau

AUBURN – Paul J. Morneau, 82, of Poland Spring, formerly of Dracut, Mass., passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Androscoggin Hospice House, surrounded by family. Born Nov. 18, 1939, to Lucien and Gertrude Morneau, he was educated in Dracut schools. He married the former Norene “Alice” Bradbury on Sept. 16, 1961, in Dracut, Mass., at St. Theresa’s Church. He was employed at Nabnassett Cold Storage, D’Youville Manor and after moving to Maine in 1969 he worked at Pioneer Plastics where he was known as Farmer Green Jeans. He retired from there in 2000.Paul was an avid farmer who spent endless hours in the garden with his kids, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He loved the Red Sox, Patriots, golfing with Dave, anything racing and spending time with his family. Paul was a member of Our Lady of Ransom Church. He was a devout Catholic. He is survived by his wife of nearly 61 years, Norene; sons Paul (Trudi), Mark (Anna), Michael (Jan); daughter Nancy (Michael); 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law Isabelle Croteau and Mary Bradbury; and brother-in-law David Leonard. He was predeceased by sisters, Anita, Irene, Helen, Marie, Theresa, Jeanette, and Patricia; brothers, Donald and Roger; brother-in-law Linwood Bradbury. Family and friends may attend visiting hours on Sunday, June 26, 2022 from 4-6 p.m., at Chandler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 26 West Dwinal Street, Mechanic Falls. Private graveside services will be held.
