Shirley Elaine (Smith) Edwards
SOUTH PARIS – Shirley Elaine (Smith) Edwards, 90, died at her home in South Paris, Maine, on June 23, 2022, after a brief illness. She was born on May 4, 1933, in Bangor, Maine, and attended school in Orono.
Shirley was preceded in death by her mother, Lena Smith, her father Arthur Leslie Smith, and her daughter Roxann Shirley Smith, all of Orono, Maine. She is survived by her loving partner of 40 years, Merton Hodgkins, several children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and spouses from both families.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at 11 a.m., at Chandler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 45 Main Street, South Paris, with interment to follow at North Raymond Cemetery in Raymond. Family and friends may attend visiting hours on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, from 5-7 p.m., at the funeral home.
