John A. Brochu

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – John A. Brochu, 50, of Livermore Falls, passed away unexpectedly from complications from diabetes on June 11, 2022, in Rochester, N.Y. where he was staying while working on a construction project.

He was born May 4, 1972, in Farmington, and was the son of Francis Brochu and Barbara Joan (Moreland) Brochu. He attended Livermore Falls schools and graduated from Mountain Valley High School in 1990. He continued his education at CMVTI in Auburn where he majored in Building Construction Technology and related trades. He was a commercial builder and general contractor whose many projects were located throughout the country.

He was driven by God, Family, Country, and hard work. He was a true Patriot who was extremely proud of his family and lineage. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved sports, antiques, Moxie, and green apples. He was happiest when watching his son and daughter in their sports, plays and all other activities and any opportunity to spend with them.

He was the catalyst for sibling text messaging, family gatherings and all things Brochu. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a unique sense of philanthropy in that he was a strong supporter of local businesses and made it his personal mission to help anyone that he discovered had a need or shortfall. He will be fondly remembered for his huge heart and perpetual desire to help those less fortunate.

He is survived by his son and daughter, Landon Brochu and Moreland Brochu both of Livermore; his siblings Francis “Butch” Brochu and wife Robyn of Havre de Grace, Md., Donna Wuori of Livermore Falls, Denise Lund of Pittston, Debra Zboray and husband Michael of Gray, James Brochu and wife Sharon of Winthrop, Mary Maxwell of Gardiner, and Michael Brochu and companion Kim Craig of Auburn; also many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
