Pauline Virginia Hinds Belanger

AUBURN – Pauline Virginia Hinds Belanger, 97, went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, June 23, 2022.

Pauline was born March 8, 1925 in Lewiston, the daughter of Earl and Gladys (Clough) Hinds. She attended Edward Little High School. She worked at Bates Pepperell Mill, Clark Shoe, Bonan Shoe, and Belgrade Shoe. However her greatest joy was being the wife of Victor R. Belanger Sr. and the mother of her three children.

Pauline enjoyed taking rides with her husband looking at the Maine scenery. She was an avid bird watcher and loved taking care of her grandchildren. She was actively involved in her husband’s and son’s wood business. She loved dancing at the VFW with her husband and his brother Willie and wife Doris.

She attended Sacred Heart Church in her younger years and later in life attended East Auburn Baptist Church as she was able.

She leaves her three children and their spouses, Janine Gilbert and her husband Butch of Turner, Linda Therrien and her husband Norm of Auburn, and Victor Russell Belanger, Jr. and his wife Bonnie of Auburn. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband Victor R, Belanger Sr. whom she married May 29,1943, at Sacred Heart Church Auburn; as well as by four grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Fortin Funeral Home, 217 Turner Street Auburn, 10 to 11 a.m., Friday July 1, 2022, funeral will follow at 11 a.m. at the Fortin Funeral Home. Committal will be at Gracelawn Memorial Park 980 Turner Street, Auburn.
