A tight airplane which was flown out of the Auburn Lewiston Airport, then made an emergency landing in a hayfield in Buckfield, Tuesday, June 20, has taken to the air again. A spokesman for State Aviation Inc., in Auburn, said today that Roland R. Maheu of West Minot, Maine Aviation, executive, and veteran flier, got the Piper PA 28 into the air and back to the airport Monday morning.

The Federal Aviation Agency flight services office at Augusta identified the man who was flying the aircraft at the time as Ronald Russell, a pilot instructor and Nicki Lovejoy, his student, both of Auburn. They were flying near the field when mechanical trouble developed. Neither were reported injured.

After the repairs were made the takeoff had to be delayed until the hay was able to be cut.
