Barbara A. Weldon

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Barbara A. Weldon passed peacefully on Dec. 21, 2021, in Jacksonville, Florida. Born April 22, 1936, in Lewiston, Maine, to Fredrick and Mable (Booker) Russell of Durham. She attended schools in Durham and Lisbon Falls, graduated from Lisbon High School in 1954. On April 12, 1958, she married John Weldon of Dresden.

In June 1954 she went to work in the office of Worumbo Mfg. Company later known as Stevens Manufacturing Company until June of 1959. In 1964 she worked for Depositors Trust Company until 1972, then worked for 17 years for Mechanics Savings Bank.

August 1988 she and her husband moved to Mannheim, Germany where he taught sixth-grade military children. In July 1998 she and her husband sold their home in Lisbon Falls, to Jacksonville, Fla.

She is survived by a brother in-law Joel Weldon of Dresden until his death April 2022; a son Stephen Weldon and his wife Corena of Auburn; a daughter Sandra and husband John Radomski of Jacksonville, Fla.; a daughter in-law Elaine Weldon of Jacksonville, Fla.; eight grandchildren, Courtney Weldon of Saco; Garrett Weldon of Lewiston; Audrey and husband Clint Dona of Jacksonville, Fla.; Ben Weldon of Jacksonville, Fla.; Samantha Radomski of Jacksonville, Fla.; Alison Radomski of Jacksonville, Fla.; Jonathan and wife Trista Radomski of Jacksonville, Fla.; Anthony Radomski of Jacksonville, Fla., and two great-grandsons, Colton Dona and Jackson Radomski of Jacksonville, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews of Durham.

Barbara was predeceased by her mother and father; her husband John Weldon; a son Michael Weldon of Jacksonville, Fla.; a sister Doris and her husband Bruce Dupal of Durham.

At Barbara’s request there will be no funeral services but however a celebration of life at Marion T. Morse Rec Center in Lisbon Falls on July 16, 2022.
