Since the first meeting of the Lewiston Youth Advisory Council in 2002, the teen members have offered the City of Lewiston so much. They work on projects that they believe are most beneficial to our city and the people who live here.As they discuss how they should present their projects or community outreach, they listen carefully — inspiring each other with ideas and plans. They put their hearts and hours into it. As the “official” youth council grandmother, it is both a privilege and uplifting to attend their meetings and events.I strongly believe that the youth council represents the face of hope for all of us. I hope the seniors who graduated in June will consider Lewiston as their future place to call home.
