AUBURN — The city’s National Night Out, canceled earlier in the week due to rain, has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 9.
The national event, scheduled for the first Tuesday in August every year since 1984, has been held locally for about two decades, giving members of the community an opportunity to interact with law enforcement on a leisurely level and not just during emergencies.
According to the latest announcement, the Night Out will get underway Tuesday, “as long as the rain stays away.”
