AUBURN – Jeannie Sue Phillips, 64, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2022, surrounded by family.

Jeannie was loving, kind, strong willed lived life to the fullest and on her own terms.

Her smile and laugh were contagious and she kept those around her laughing regularly.

To know her was to love her. There was nothing more important to Jeannie than her family and friends and she loved them fiercely.

Jeannie attended Ragland High School and Jacksonville State University. She was an avid sports fan and athlete, she excelled in softball at third base and loved the Alabama Crimson Tide. The phrase “Roll Tide” will forever echo in the hearts of those of us that loved her. Jeannie proudly served and retired from the U.S. Postal Service after a fulfilling 30-year career.

She was predeceased in death by her parents, Hershel and Charlsie Mae Phillips of Ragland, Ala.; a brother Donnie Ray Phillips and a sister Cathy Ann Alverson.

She is survived by her life partner of 26 years, Pam LaBelle, two stepdaughters; Billie LaBelle Hazley and son-in-law Ryan Hazley and Laura LaBelle, two grandsons; Kaleb LaBelle and Elliott Michaud-LaBelle, a sister, Janice Elaine Howard, nephews; Chad Bean (Suzi) and Thad Alverson, a niece Jamie Byers (Jarvis), grandnephews; Javante and Jordan Byers, Caleb Shadrix and Cainan and Trace Alverson, grand-nieces; Trinity Byers and Shelby Alverson, great grand-niece, Alani Flemming-Byers, great grandnephew, Jacobi Byers, sister-in-law Brenda Phillips, brother-in-law Roy Alverson and a host of other family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday Oct. 7, 2022, from 2-6 p.m., at Amvets Post #6, 1095 Lewiston Road, New Gloucester, Maine. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
