DEAR SUN SPOTS: I have a large desk with drawers, cubbies, and a built-in bookcase to donate to a non-profit. It must be picked up and will need a couple of strong men to do so, as it is very heavy.

I also have quite an assortment of mostly fiction books including some Reader’s Digest Condensed books for anyone who wants them. Please contact me at 713-5582 or jonsgee@hotmail.com. — Eleanor, Lewiston

ANSWER: I hope you find a new home for this lovely piece of furniture, and the books are always welcome at a Little Library or perhaps a second-hand book shop if you don’t hear from anyone, but I bet you will.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Several weeks ago there was a supplement to your paper that contained an article about road trips to roadside stands in Western Maine. I visited Blue Moose Farm in Roxbury which was wonderful. My husband gave them our copy of the supplement as they hadn’t seen it. I didn’t copy information about the other stands that I wanted to visit and wonder if that supplement is still available. Thanks for your help and your great column. — Jill, no town

ANSWER: I was able to get in touch with the SJ staff person in charge of that special supplement and she will be in touch with you if she hasn’t contacted you already.

If you ever have any questions about a past story or information you saw in your Sun Journal, never hesitate to ask. We’re a team and we can usually track down what you’re looking for.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Regarding upcoming craft fairs in the area asked about in the Aug. 19 Sun Spots, my late wife was a professional crafter for many years. The two biggest craft fairs she participated in every year were at Leavitt and Oxford Hills High Schools. They were usually held in late November, just before the holiday season. — Andy, Turner

ANSWER: Thank you for bringing those fairs to our attention, Andy. If other readers know who to contact for more information, please write in. Also, if you are a member of a craft guild here in Androscoggin County or close by, tell us what you know. Following is information for a fair that’s happening soon.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: On Saturday, Sept. 3, Danville Junction Grange at 15 Grange St. in Auburn, will be holding a Flea Market/Craft Fair in the parking lot from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. We will be doing a 50/50 raffle and there will be a baked goods table inside the hall with all other tables outside. To rent a table you may call 312-5591 .

If Mother Nature should bless us with rain, it will be necessary to cancel. Otherwise, we look forward to seeing all our friends and neighbors who have been so generous in the past and have helped us raise money for repairs on our hall.

Thank you, dear Sun Spots, for all that you do for our community. — No name, Auburn

ANSWER: I have a special place in my heart for this Grange. I hope this event is a big success and although we need rain, I will not wish it for Sept. 3.
