AUBURN — The Sabattus Rec Running Club won its third Greater L/A Triple Crown 5K event Sunday, August 28, to sweep the three races this summer. The Sabattus team placed five of the first 16 runners in the L/A Bridge Run 5K Sunday to take the title. Sabattus Rec Running Club had also won the YMCA Fit Fest and the Emily’s Run 5K earlier this year.
Sabattus Rec Running Club, celebrating the 10th year of its running program this year, took the titles with several different runners over the three races. Kyle Simmons, Jake Norris, Todd Michaud, Owen Vincent, Wes Danforth, Rick Blanchette, and Molly Schassberger were all instrumental in achieving the success of the group.
