FARMINGTON — KK Daggett opened the scoring less than three minutes into the game and finished with three goals and two assists in Mt. Blue’s 5-0 KVAC girls soccer win over Skowhegan on Tuesday.

Emma Dunn and Daggett took turns assisting and scoring the Cougars’ (4-0) first two goals, then Daggett scored from Callahan Towle and assisted on Vivian Cormier’s goal to round out a 4-0 first half for the Cougars. Alaya Smith assisted on Daggett’s second-half goal that completed her hat trick.

Caitlin Burke made three saves for Mt. Blue and Natalie Cooke stopped 12 shots for the River Hawks (0-4).

BUCKFIELD 4, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 0: Kai Trenoweth scored twice, and the Bucks (3-1) blanked the Falcons (1-3) in Rumford.

Cora Brewster and Mya Austin also scored a goal apiece for Buckfield. Brittany Carrier dished out a pair of assists and Austin had one. Bucks goalkeeper Kianna Finnegan made nine saves.

Mountain Valley goalie Justice Gendron stopped seven shots.

BOYS SOCCER
LEWISTON 6, OXFORD HILLS 0: Shafi Ibrahim tallied two goals as the Blue Devils (3-1) booted the Vikings (0-4) in Paris.

Jacinto Mavinga notched a goal and an assist, and Obed Antonio, Yusef Dakani and Ahmed Abdow each added a goal. David Abdi recorded two assists and Nasip Abdi, Abduljabar Abdi and Abdimalik Nur pitched in with one apiece.

Payson Goyette secured the shutout with three saves for Lewiston.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 3, POLAND 0: Aidan Hebert scored twice as the Patriots (3-1) scored three second-half goals to beat the Knights (1-3) in Gray.

Max Kenney added a goal and an assist for Gray-New Gloucester. Luka Rosolino had an assist.

GARDINER 3, LEAVITT 1: The Tigers (3-0) pulled away with a pair of goals in the second half and defeated the Hornets (0-3) in Turner.

Chase Kanaris, Kian Alves and Dylan Staples scored goals for Gardiner, which led 1-0 at halftime. Casey Paul assisted on two of the goals. Goalie Connor Fairservice stopped nine shots.

Logan Berube scored Leavitt’s goal. Hornets goalie Vanya Bezhenar faced an onslaught of 27 shots and finished with 24 saves.

GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 4, RANGELEY 3: Papa Osei had three goals, including the winner in overtime, as the Lions (1-0) beat the Lakers (1-1) in South Portland.

Logan Hoffman made 15 saves for Greater Portland Christian.

EDWARD LITTLE 3, MT. ARARAT 0: Eli St. Laurent stopped 12 shots to earn a shutout for the Red Eddies (4-0) against the Eagles (2-1) in Topsham.

“Incredible goalie play by Eli St. Laurent, saving multiple shots that should have been in the back of the net,” Edward Little coach Max Thompson said.

Campbell Cassidy paced the Red Eddies’ offense with a goal and two assists. Mohamed Adow and Liban Issack added a goal apiece.

Mt. Ararat goalie Jacob Fullerton made three saves.

FIELD HOCKEY
BRUNSWICK 3, EDWARD LITTLE 0: The Dragons put in a pair of fourth-quarter goals to pull away from the Red Eddies in Brunswick.

Kiki Dinsmore’s second-quarter goal stood as the game’s lone tally until Amelia Donsback and Ellie Sullivan both converted in the final frame for Brunswick. Ella Duchette (seven saves) and Skylar Augustine (three) combined to secure the shutout for the Dragons.

Kasey Smith made 18 saves for Edward Little.

CONY 1, MT. BLUE 0: Abby Morrill scored the lone goal on an assist from Maci Freeman as the Rams took down the Cougars in Augusta.

Madison Chavarie added a key defensive save for Cony (2-3). Goaltender Ella Mayhew made eight saves for the Rams in the win.

Mt. Blue fell to 1-4 as Avery Maxim recorded eight saves.

LAWRENCE 3, LEAVITT: Maddie Niles notched a hat trick to lead the Bulldogs to a win over Hornets in Fairfield.

Alicen Higgins and Elizabeth Crommett added assists for Lawrence (5-0).

Leavitt fell to 3-1.

VOLLEYBALL
YARMOUTH 3, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 0: Norah Lushman collected five aces and 19 service points to lead the Clippers (4-0) to a three-set win over the Patriots (1-3) in Gray.

Dorcus Bolese had nine kills and Brianna Torres had seven digs for Yarmouth.
