Justin Daryl Spencer

SABATTUS – Justin Daryl Spencer, 40 of Sabattus passed away unexpectedly at home with family on Sept. 6, 2022. Justin was born to parents Heidi Wood and Steven Spencer on April 9, 1982, in Lewiston. Justin was raised in Sabattus and was a graduate of Oak Hill High School. He attended Trade School and was licensed in HVAC; he also worked in concrete cutting and tried his hand as a Tinsmith at BIW before settling down into property management and groundskeeping. He enjoyed ice fishing, baseball, four wheeling, disc golf and family gathering, but most of all being a father and husband. He met the love of his life, Ashlie Maker in 2006 and proposed only a year later. They then welcomed their son Haiden Spencer on December 28, 2009.

Justin leaves behind his wife Ashlie of 17 years and their son Haiden Spencer; his father Steven Spencer and wife Juanita Spencer; his brother Jason Spencer and his wife Patricia Spencer and their two children Dominick and Alexis Spencer; his sister Elizabeth Pinette and her husband Craig Pinette and their two children Braelynn and Mckenzie Pinette; grandmother’s Dawn Wood and Mary Lou Spencer; his in laws Bruce and Diana Chesley; brother-in-law Randi Pelkey; and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Justin was predeceased by his paternal grandfather Frank Spencer; his maternal grandfather Bruce Wood Sr.; and his mother Heidi Spencer.

Graveside services will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Sabattus on Saturday Sept. 24, 2022, at 10 a.m. followed by a celebration of life at the home of Steve and Juanita Spencer. Justin will remain in our hearts always, gone but never forgotten, until we meet again.
