BUCKFIELDBrayden Jack kicked in the game-winning goal off of a breakaway shot with 20 minutes remaining in the game as Buckfield staved off Carrabec with a 3-2 win in MVC boys soccer Tuesday afternoon.

Jack scored the first of his three goals for the Bucks (2-3-1) off of a Justin Lucas corner kick early in the first half.

Midway through the first half, Jack added another goal from deep outside the 18-yard box over goalie Cobras (2-4) goalie Peter Vicneire’s head. Carrabec’s Luke Carey scored his first of two goals before halftime on a penalty kick awarded off of a Buckfield handball.

Early in the second half, Carey weaved with the dribble past the Buckfield defense and buried a goal low and away past Buckfield goalie Gavin Charest.

LISBON 5, OAK HILL 2: Danny Levesque collected two goals and two assists to pace the Greyhounds to a win over the Raiders in Wales.

Bryce Poulin also added two goals for Lisbon (5-0-0) while Gerek Theriault notched a goal and an assist. Levi Tibbetts made seven saves in goal for the Greyhounds.

Drew Hatale and Cooper Fessenden each scored for Oak Hill (2-3-0).

RICHMOND 2, ST. DOMINIC 2: The Bobcats and Saints played to a draw in a Class D South showdown in Richmond.

For Richmond (5-1-1), Hunter Mason and Zander Steele scored a goal each, and Max Visselli recorded an assist. Goalkeeper Connor Vashon made 10 saves.

Johannes Kohl and Tim Ouellette scored for St. Dominic (1-3-1). Riley Daigle corralled eight saves for the Saints.

MT. BLUE 1, MESSALONSKEE 0: Thomas Cormier scored the game-winning goal with 15:32 left in the game to lift the Cougars (3-2-1) to a win over the Eagles in Oakland (2-4-1).

Goalie James Stinson made seven saves for Mt. Blue while Andrew Beckwith stopped 11 shots for Messalonskee.

MT. ABRAM 7, HALL-DALE 0: Morgan Thibodeau turned in a hat trick to lead the Roadrunners (6-1) to a victory over Hall-Dale (3-3) in Salem.

Bear Rollins, Sam Cockerham, Kaden Pillsbury and Killian Pillsbury each scored goals for Mt. Abram. Kaden Pillsbury collected two assists and Tucker Plouffe and Andrew Rother each had one.

Mt Abram’s Trey Reed and Logan Dube combined for two saves in net. Hall-Dale goalie Jackson Leach made 14 saves.

MONMOUTH ACADEMY 7, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN/DIRIGO 0: The Mustangs (4-0) featured multiple goal-scorers in a win over the Phoenix (1-6) in Jay.

Ryan Michaud, Patrick Strout, Dalton Comeau and Austin Smith all found the back of the net for Monmouth, with five of those goals coming in the second half.

Nate Holland made 16 saves for Spruce Mountain/Dirigo.

GREELY 2, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 0: Tommy Bennert and Tate Nadeau each had a goal to power the Rangers (3-2-1) over the Patriots (3-3) in Cumberland.

Landon Dominski recorded four saves for Greely. Drew Reynolds stopped nine shots for GNG.

ERSKINE ACADEMY 6, LEAVITT 0: Sam Boynton netted a hat trick as Erskine (3-3) shut out Leavitt (0-5) in South China.

Holden McKenney had two goals and an assist for the Eagles, and Landon Lefebvre also scored. Jaxson Roderick and Emmett Appel added assists.

Erskine keeper Timber Parlin made three saves, while Leavitt’s Vanya Bezhener had seven.

FIELD HOCKEY
LEAVITT 3, WINSLOW 0: Katie Sirois, Gwen Scherrer and Ema Beedy each scored in the Hornets’ (6-1) win over the Raiders (1-7) in Turner.

Maddie Morin picked up two assists and winning goalie Lily Chabot made five saves. Winslow goalie Lainey Bell stopped 13 of Leavitt’s 16 shots.

MESSALONSKEE 1, EDWARD LITTLE 0: The Eagles made Zoey Gilbert’s goal in the third quarter hold up in a narrow victory over the Red Eddies (3-5) in Auburn

Messalonskee’s (6-0) Aura Morrin collected the assist on the goal and Nealey Dillon got the win in net with four saves.

Edward Little goalie Kasey Smith made eight saves.

ST. DOMINIC 5, WELLS 0: Lorelei Bonney and Ava Martin scored two goals apiece to pace the Saints (6-0) past the Warriors (1-4) in Wells.

Bonney scored the first goal of each half. Mitchell, who also assisted on a first-half goal by Abigail Mitchell, scored twice in the second half.

Madeline Andrews and Ava Apodaca also had assists for St. Dom’s, and goalie Maia Cote made two saves.

LAKE REGION 2, POLAND 0: Aubrey Philbrook and Emily Reardon scored to lift the Lakers (2-4) to a win over the Knights (1-5) in Poland.

Reiyn Hart had two saves for the Lakers, while Addison Michaud had four saves for Poland.

GIRLS SOCCER
RICHMOND 5, ST. DOMINIC 2: Bobcats coach Troy Kendrick moved within three wins of his 400th career victory as the Bobcats topped the Saints in Richmond.

Richmond (5-2) got two goals each from Breonna Dufresne and Katie Johnson and one from Alexa Kelsey. Autumn Lane made 10 saves for the Bobcats in the win.

Natalie Brocke scored both goals for St. Dominic (0-5-1). Leah Herrick recorded 11 saves.

LEAVITT 2, ERSKINE ACADEMY 1: Emma Couturier scored off of a corner kick from Madi Dutil to give the Hornets (3-2) a hard-fought victory over the Eagles (1-5) in Turner.

The Eagles took a 1-0 lead midway through the first half on Cassie LaCrouix’s unassisted goal. Nola Boutaugh got the Hornets on the board, converting off a pass from Ali Dening.

Erskine Goalie Sophia Pilotte turned away 10 shots. Leavitt’s netminder Kira Welch stopped four.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 3, POLAND 0: Elise McNair scored twice as the Seagulls (5-1) shut out the Knights (0-6) in Poland.

Tessa Ferguson also scored for Old Orchard Beach.

MT. BLUE 2, MESSALONSKEE 0: KK Daggett scored two first-half goals to send the Cougars (6-0) past the Eagles (2-4-1) in Oakland.

Daggett netted a penalty kick after a handball, and then 1 minute, 10 seconds later scored another goal off an assist by Emma Dunn.

Mt. Blue goalie Caitlin Burke made six saves and Messalonskee’s Kiana Carrier finished with 10.

GREELY 4, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 1: Abby Lennox scored twice, while Lili Pierce and Eva Williams scored once and the Rangers (4-2) beat the Patriots (1-3-2) in Gray.

WOMEN’S SOCCER
BATES 2, UNE 1: Charlotte Jones scored on a header off of a corner kick with less than three minutes to play as the Bobcats completed a rally past the Nor’easters in Lewiston.

Anna Masumoto picked up the assist on Jones’ game-winning goal. Elizabeth Patrick scored earlier in the half for Bates.

University of New England got on the board first, with Bella Reil scoring in the first half. Ariel Martin made 10 saves in goal for the Nor’easters.

COLBY 3, UMAINE-FARMINGTON 1: Emily Boyle scored unassisted to open the scoring 4:47 for the Beavers (2-5) but Sophie Digrande countered with a pair of goals, the first assisted by Jadyn Liebman, as the Mules (3-2) rallied at Waterville.

Liebman added an insurance goal midway through the second half for Colby.

Paige Gonya had 13 saves for UMaine-Farmington, while Emily McMaster stopped two shots for the Mules.
