Born in Milan, New Hamsphire, she attended schools there and moved with her family to Lewiston, Maine in 1942. In 1948, at St. Peter & Paul Church in Lewiston, she married Romeo J. Bonsaint, her husband of 50 years, with whom she raised three sons: Romeo Jr., Paul, and J. Ronald.

She enjoyed family activities of all sorts, liked to travel and, at home, did crossword puzzles, made jigsaw puzzles, and engaged in challenging word games. Above all, she loved being with her family, shopping with her sisters and, in the past, cooking for family events.

Julie is predeceased by her husband (1999), by two elder sisters Jeanette (spouse Stanley) and Liane (spouse Leo), one brother Adrian “Bob” (spouse Carmen), and a sister-in-law Roseanna (spouse Roger). Surviving family members include younger sisters Terry and Simone; her three sons Romeo, Paul (spouse Ann), and J. Ronald (spouse Irene); numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her beloved grandchildren Michele, Mara, Ronald Jr., Michael, and Nic. She was also devoted to her great grandchildren: Courtney, RJ, Gabe, Logan, and Gracie.

There will be no visiting hours for Julie. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Trinity Church in Lisbon Falls at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 21. Burial at St. Peter Cemetery in Lewiston, Maine.
