Mercy Watson: Something Wonky this way comes

Mercy Watson, the pig, who lives with Mr. and Mrs. Watson, loves her some butter! Especially on hot toast. But in this edition, the Watsons go to a movie. And what guarantees you butter at the movies? That’s right, popcorn! Mercy is all about it. It seems the neighborhood is all about it…the movie they go to see is called ‘When Pigs Fly’, and everyone has their own ideas of what it’s about. Several neighbors actually ride with the Watsons, and at the Drive-in refreshment stand, they find Leroy Ninker, who has quite the interesting history with the Watson family.

Of course, with all of these colorful characters as well as the Animal Control Officer also on a date at the movies, and the smell of hot buttered popcorn, hilarity ensues! Mercy runs off in search of the delicious buttery smell, and causes a little girl to scream when he starts eating her popcorn….and that’s not all! Find out how many others get pulled into the ruckus! This author is a Maine favorite, as is the illustrator. I’m sure you’ll enjoy this funny adventure.
