SKOWHEGAN — KK Daggett set a new program single-season scoring record with two goals in Mt. Blue’s 5-0 girls soccer win over Skowhegan on Saturday.
Daggett has 20 goals this season, with five games left in the regular season. She has scored at least once in each of the unbeaten Cougars’ (9-0) nine games this season.
Elisa Mezzoli also scored twice for Mt. Blue in Saturday’s game, and Emma Dunn added one goal. Daggett and Meren Zeliger were each credited with two assists, while Vivian Cormier set up one goal.
Cougars goalie Caitlin Burke made three saves. The River Hawks goalie tandem of Natalie Cooke and Marlin Lausch combined to make 14 saves.
MONMOUTH ACADEMY/WINTHROP 1, OAK HILL 0: Kaitlyn Frost drilled the winning goal of a corner kick with a minute remaining in overtime to lift the Mustangs (7-2) past the Raiders (2-7) in Wales.
The Mustangs outshot the Raiders 23-6. Winning goalie June Foyt made four saves for Monmouth/Winthrop, while Oak Hill netminder MacKenzie Vattasso made 15 saves.
YORK 2, POLAND 0: Chloe Bourque set up two first-half goals to spark the Wildcats (4-3-2) to a win over the Knights (1-8) in Poland.
Bourque assisted Grace Clayton with 15 minutes remaining in the half and Shea Haseltine with five minutes left.
LEAVITT 1, MORSE 0: Heather Mousseau tallied her first varsity goal off a cross from Ali Dening midway through the second half, lifting the Hornets (6-3) past the Shipbuilders (1-6-2) in Bath.
Goalie Alexia Chaloux earned her first win in goal for the Hornets, making eight saves. Morse’s Riley Waters turned away seven shots.
BOYS SOCCER
MORSE 2, LEAVITT 1: Christian Hallowell and Ellis Vallade each scored a goal in the second half to give the Shipbuilders (3-5-1) a win over the Hornets (1-7) in Bath.
All three of the game’s goals were scored after halftime. Leavitt got on the scoreboard when Logan Berube took a feed from Gibson Dozois and scored.
Hornets goalie Vanya Bezhenar stopped 11 shots, while Morse’s Waylon Rhorer made five saves.
FIELD HOCKEY
DIRIGO 6, LISBON 1: Emily Woods, Jayce Brophy and Grave Averill each scored two goals in the Cougars’ (7-3) victory over the Greyhounds (7-3) in Dixfield.
Dirigo jumped out a 5-0 lead at halftime. Grace Robbins picked up two assists and Brophy and Alyssa Ellis each had one. Winning goalie Alivia Ellis made 14 saves.
Lisbon’s Laura Mockler scored in the third quarter on a Reesa Theriault assist.
FREEPORT 3, POLAND 0: Liza Flower, Reed Proscia and Emily Grove all scored as the Falcons (6-2-1) rolled past the Knights (2-7) at Freeport.
Lizalyn Boudreau had an assist.
CONY 1, LEAVITT 0: Abby Morrill’s goal made the difference for the Rams (5-6) in a win over the Hornets (9-1) in Augusta.
Elise Cunningham had an assist for Cony. Goalie Avery Maxim had six saves.
Lilly Chabot made five saves for Leavitt.
