HUSSON 7, UMF 0: Sisters Katie and Maddie Perkins assisted on each other’s second-quarter goals in the Eagles’ (6-5, 3-0 North Atlantic Conference) victory over the Beavers (1-8, 0-3) in Farmington.
Senior Katie Perkins’ second goal of the quarter was assisted by freshman Maddie, then the older of the Winthrop graduates assisted on her younger sister’s goal to put Husson up 4-0 at halftime.
Teagan Blackie, Jessica Hart, Phoebe Carlock and Averi Baker also scored. Two former area standouts, Leigha Carrier of Mountain Valley (two assists) and Mallory Fairbanks of Lisbon, provided assists on three of the Eagles’ five goals.
The Husson defense only allowed one shot, which was stopped by goalie Kimmie Goddard. Alicia Bridges stopped seven shots for University of Maine at Farmington.
SOUTHERN MAINE 6, FRAMINGHAM STATE 1: Oxford Hills graduate Brooke Carson had three goals, including two in the first half, as the Huskies (9-5, 7-1 Little East) beat the Rams (7-5, 3-4) in Gorham.
Carson has scored nine goals in USM’s past six games, and now has 10 goals on the season.
Samantha Ellis, a former Mt. Blue standout, added a pair of second-half goals for Southern Maine. Sage Drinkwater also scored.
Kaitlin Loughlin made six saves for Framingham State. Winthrop graduate Eleanor Folsom stopped seven shots for the Huskies.
