AUBURN — Doreen Locke, registered nurse and director of nursing at the Odd Fellows and Rebekahs home in Auburn, has received the prestigious National Center for Assisted Living Nurse of the Year award.
She was honored Oct. 9 at the 73rd Annual American Health Care Association/National Center for Assisted Living convention and expo in Nashville, Tennessee.

The award recognizes a licensed practical or registered assisted living nurse who demonstrates outstanding compassion, supervisory success, innovation, achievement and capabilities in providing high-quality, person-centered care in a service-oriented culture in an assisted living community.
Honorees demonstrate selflessness and compassion while striving to enhance the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities in their communities.
Locke is recognized for her exemplary contribution and unwavering commitment to delivering quality care. Award winners are selected from peer and colleague nominations across the country.
