The Lewiston Public Library is set to close for one week — Friday, Oct. 28 through Saturday, Nov. 5 — for carpet installation in various parts of the library.
The 200 Lisbon St. library will reopen Monday, Nov. 7.
Due to the closure, requests for materials from other libraries will be unavailable starting Monday, Oct. 24, to ensure adequate time for items to arrive in Lewiston prior to the closure.
LPL To Go will not be available, so all holds must be picked up before Oct. 28 or after the library reopens.
The library will continue to accept returns of library materials during the closure. Items can be returned through the Pine Street or Park Street Alley book drops.
Online services such as cloudLibrary or Kanopy will continue to be available 24/7 at libraryla.org. Librarians will be available to provide telephone and email assistance during normal business hours: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
