LEWISTON – With broken hearts, we share the sudden passing of Bonnie Goudreau on Oct. 18, 2022 at CMMC in Lewiston. Bonnie was born April 18, 1943, the daughter of Stanley and Christine Gallagher.

Bonnie graduated from Edward Little High School, where she was a majorette, in 1961. She worked many years for Dr. Ted Sanford and later worked at several different daycare facilities where she provided much love and attention to her “little ones.” She was employed, at the time of her passing, at The Great Adventures Daycare in Turner, where she was well-loved. Many of her daycare families have reached out to us in sympathy and have expressed gratitude for the love that Bonnie showered on them and their children. They referred to her as their children’s grandmother. They are grateful to have special memories of her and also many handmade blankets that she gifted them.

Bonnie was very active and had a lot of interests, including scrapbooking, kayaking, quilting, crafting special family keepsakes, bird-watching, taking care of her flower gardens, attending Zumba classes, going out to eat with family and friends, traveling to see her favorite singer, Don Campbell. She made many memories with cherished friends, and was a member of a long-standing group of women called Stitch and Bitch.

Most of all, Bonnie loved her family. She had two daughters and a son, whom she loved dearly. As their families grew, she became a grandmother and a great-grandmother. She loved attending the kids’ sporting events and dance recitals; she was very proud of all them and their accomplishments. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, whether at the ocean, which was her favorite place to be, or at Rangeley Lake, another special family vacation spot.

Bonnie is survived by her daughters, Dori-Anne Tarr (John) and Christine Violette, her son, Frank Goudreau (Kelly); her grandchildren, Nicholas Tarr (Elizabeth Irving), Adam Tarr (Amanda Arris), Christopher Tarr, Logan Violette, Mason Violette, Alyson Violette, Makenzie Goudreau (Cody Whitten), and Kerrigan Goudreau; her great-grandchildren, Amelia Tarr and Jackson Tarr; her brothers, Brian “Mike” Gallagher (Ruth) and Barry Gallagher; and her husband, Frank Goudreau.

She also leaves several beloved nieces and nephews; as well as her fur baby “Hansel” and her “Kitty.” She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Bruce.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Bonnie Goudreau on Oct. 30, 2022, at DaVinci’s Eatery, 150 Mill Street, Lewiston. Her family would like to invite you to come and share memories of Bonnie and help them to celebrate her. Please feel free to stop by at any time from 4:30 – 7:30. Refreshments will be served.
