Katherine Lemieux and Christopher Whitney are announcing their marriage
The couple was married on Sept. 4, 2022, at Sugarloaf Mountain. The ceremony was officiated by Maria Berube, aunt of the bride, followed by a cocktail hour at ”The Beach” at Sugarloaf. The wonderful reception followed and was held in the King Pine Room, with dinner and lots of dancing.
The bride’s parents are James and Kerry Lemieux of Bowdoin, formerly of Lisbon Falls. The groom’s parents are Command Master Chief United States Navy Retired Thomas Whitney and Karen Whitney of Lisbon Falls.
The bridal party included the maid of honor and wedding planner, Ms. Claudia Lemieux, Ms. Cortney Linck, Mrs. Lindsey Joy, Mrs. Sabrina Keene, and bridesman Mr. Zachary Turner. The best man was Mr. Kalib Moore, and the groomsmen were Mr. Connor Joy, Mr. Ryan Fairbanks, Mr. Keith Saunders, and Mr. Ben Keene.
The bride and groom both attended the Lisbon High School ( Lisbon) and they also both attended the University of Maine at Farmington. They reconnected in the summer of 2017 and the rest is history.
Christopher holds a bachelor of science degree in secondary education and social studies from UMF. He is employed by TriCounty Mental Health and is an assistant football coach at Dirigo High School. Katherine holds a bachelor of science degree in community health. She is employed at Healthy Community Coalition of Greater Franklin County, and she is finishing up her master’s degree in public health at The University of New England.
The couple resides in Farmington with their fur babies, Charlie and Olive. They have a ski vacation planned in January for their honeymoon.
