100 Years Ago: 1922

E. A. Keene of Danville Junction, one of the best farmers in that region, reports that it has been a very hard season for them in general. “Crops have done nothing as compared with last season,” said he, “and we are getting but a few apples. Gardening in some extent, the raising of fruit and dairying, is carried on.”

50 Years Ago: 1972

A night out for the ladies is being planned  at the Musical Literary Club for the wives of the members and their invited guests on Nov. 9. The husbands will give their wives the red-carpet treatment by waiting on them and catering to their every whim. A cocktail hour from 6 to 7 will be followed by a roast beef dinner and an evening of cards and chit chat. Mrs. Richard Sylvain, wife of the president, Mrs. Pat  Cailler and Mrs. Roland Lafrance are supervising the arrangements and may be contacted for advance reservations.

25 Years Ago: 1997
