WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Dan Vaughn passed for four touchdowns and ran for another as Williams defeated Bates 41-28 in NESCAC football action Saturday.

The Ephs (2-5) jumped out to leads of 13-0 in the first quarter and 27-7 late in the second quarter.

Bobcats (2-5) quarterback Colton Bosselait threw for 313 yards and three touchdowns but also was intercepted three times. Christian Olivi caught seven passes for 74 yards and two TDs.

MEN’S SOCCER
CENTRAL MAINE CC 7, SOUTHERN MAINE CC 5: Ivan Domingues had three goals, while Romano Bassa had two to lead the top-seeded Mustangs (9-1-2) past the fifth-seeded Seawolves (4-10-2) in a YSCC semifinal in Concord, New Hampshire.

Abdifatah Yssuf and Abdirahman Daud added goals for CMCC. Laszio Dorogi had three goals for SMCC, while Alberto Kissaka chipped in with a pair of goals.

WOMENS SOCCER
MAINE MARITIME 2, UMF 0: Hazel Stoddard and Kelsey Bern each scored a goal in the second half, leading the Mariners (7-8-1) to a victory over the Beavers (8-7-3) in a North Atlantic Conference East Division semifinal in Bangor.

Paige Gonya of Sabattus made four saves for UMaine-Farmington.

FIELD HOCKEY
TUFTS 1, BATES 0: Reegan McCluskey scored on a feed from Lainie Pearson 6:20 into the third quarter as the second-seeded Jumbos (12-5) knocked off the No. 7 Bobcats (9-8) in a NESCAC quarterfinal in Medford, Massachusetts.

Grace Biddle stopped five shots for Bates, Sam Gibby recorded three saves in the shutout for Tufts.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
CMCC 90, UNB SAINT JOHN 47: Emily Strachan scored the game-high 22 points and teammates Destiny Mora Lopez and Luna Love each dropped in 15 points to lead the Mustangs to a victory over the Seawolves in Auburn.

Love also knocked down three, 3-pointers for Central Maine Community College. The Mustangs took a convincing 33-18 lead by halftime.

For University of New Brunswick at Saint John, Bailey Henderson led the team with 14 points.

MEN’S BASKETBALL
CMCC 71, UNB SAINT JOHN 57: The Mustangs broke a halftime tie and pulled away for the win in Auburn.

Boston Caldwell led all scorers with 18 points and DeMarco McKissic added 14 points and 13 rebounds for Central Maine Community College. Former Leavitt standout Wyatt Hathaway also finished in double figures, with 13 points.

Austin Brun scored a team-high 11 points for the University of New Brunswick at Saint John.
