George Kell

LEWISTON – George Kell, 70, of Lewiston, died Sunday, Oct. 30, 2022, with his family by his side at the Hospice House in Auburn, following a short illness. George was born in Lewiston on May 1, 1952, to William and Irene McLaughlin Kell.

George worked as a bartender at the Webber Avenue Social Club for 31 years. He enjoyed traveling, gambling, shooting guns, car racing and gardening.

He leaves behind a daughter, Judy Kell; two granddaughters, Brittany and Courtney; and two great-granddaughters, Violet and Charlotte; two brothers, William Kell, his daughter Dr. Tina Kell; and Rod Kell and wife Connie, their sons Scott and David and his wife Caitlin; a sister, Linda Voisine, her daughter, Samantha Spencer and son, Jake Spencer. Also surviving is his cat, Meenew.

George was predeceased by his former wife, Judy Fournier; his nephew, John Spencer Jr.; and his parents William and Irene Kell.

A celebration of his life will be held at the Webber Ave Social Club, in Lewiston, Nov. 12, from 12 to 4 p.m. Memories may be shared at http://www.albert-burpee.com.
