REGION — As of Wednesday morning, Governor Janet Mills has been declared winner of the gubernatorial race with 56%. U.S. Representative for District 2 Jared Golden leads with 49% in a ranked choice race that requires the winner to receive more than 50% of the vote. Neil McClean holds a 56% to 44% vote lead over Edward Rabasco in the district attorney’s race for District 3 (Androscoggin, Franklin and Oxford counties). In the race for Oxford county sheriff, Justin Brown and Sheriff Christopher Wainwright are locked with each claiming 50% of the vote.
