Worship
NORWAY — On Sunday, November 13 at 11 a.m. the Norway Universalist Church worship service, ‘The House that Ezra Built’,  will focus on the question of why we bother to save old buildings, when there is so much work to be done in the world. Why save a 200 year old building and its steeple? Joan Beal and friends from the Save the Belfry Committee will offer thoughts on these and other questions about our human need for a sense of place and what makes for a sacred space. The church is located at 470 Main St. in Norway. A coffee hour follows the service and all are welcome, whatever your religious beliefs.
Sing
NORWAY — The Mollyockett Chorus will be performing at the Norway UU Church on November 19 at 7 p.m. Tickets will be available at The Tribune Bookstore at 430 Main Street, Norway and at the door. The Mollyockett Chorus, a chapter of Harmony Inc., sings 4-part a cappella music ranging from traditional barbershop and show music to contemporary favorites. The chorus is under the direction of Simon Smith. This summer the chorus performed at the Sawyer Foundation in Greene, and at the Brick Church in Lovell. Prior to Covid, the chorus routinely gave shows at area assisted and nursing facilities and hopes to resume this as opportunities open up.
