Lester Earl Bell

SOUTH PARIS – Lester Earl Bell, 70, passed away on Thursday,

Oct. 20, 2022, at Steven’s Memorial Hospital. He was born in Norway on Sept. 24, 1952, a son of the late Earl Franklin and Florence Elizabeth (Mayberry) Bell.

Lester attended and graduated from Oxford Hills High School. He worked at John P. Cullinan alongside his father for many years. He then went on to achieve his commercial driver’s license. Lester worked many of his children’s younger years over the road and would only see his family on the weekends. When he decided to change jobs to be home with his family, he worked for Ed Thayer, Inc and was employed by Perry Transport until his passing.

He married his wife Patricia Dubois, after meeting one week prior, on August 13, 1977 and happily shared 45 years together. They enjoyed dancing every Saturday night at the Brown Bag Club. He would occasionally grab his wife, and start dancing with her in the middle of a store to a song he enjoyed.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, coaching his daughter’s softball team, watching his son on his dirt bike, tossing the football in the front yard and joking around with everyone he met. He was always goofy and inviting his children’s friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, Earl and Florence Bell.

He is survived by his wife Patricia Bell, his children, Stephanie, and Heath Bell. His grand-daughters, Karma and Cameron Bell, and grandson Aspen Dailey. He is also survived by two sisters and a brother and many nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Lester’s wishes all services are at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care of Chandler Funeral Home and Cremations Services 45 Main St, South Paris. To make an online condolence please visit http://www.chandlerfunerals.com.
