Fair

BUCKFIELD — The Nezinscot Valley Holiday Fair is coming up on Saturday, December 3 from 9-2 at Buckfield Jr./Sr. High School in Buckfield. The fair is sponsored by the Nezinscot Valley Music Boosters and features nearly 100 crafter and vendor booths, live musical performances throughout the day and a variety of lunch/food items available. Santa visits from 10-12 and admission is free!

NORWAY — The Annual Holiday Arts & Crafts Fair at the First Universalist Church of Norway will open for shoppers on Friday, December 2, from noon to 6 p.m. and on Saturday, December 3, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The First Universalist Church is located at 479 Main Street, Norway.

 

Concerts

WEST PARIS — On Sunday, December 4 at 2 p.m., the First Universalist Church of West Paris will host the Oxford County Ukulele Group Christmas Sing-a-long concert. In addition to the ukuleles, a percussionist has joined the group to add to the fun. There is no charge for the Sing-a-long, but donations to help with the church’s stained-glass windows restoration will be greatly appreciated. Following the concert light refreshments will be served. BETHEL — It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. The Mahoosuc Community Band has been practicing Christmas music since September. The Christmas Concert is Sunday, December 11, at 4 p.m. at Gould Academy’s Bingham Auditorium. The snowdate is Monday, December 12 at 7 p.m.

PARIS —  Doug Twitchell and Friends will entertain with ventriloquism, Doug and Laura will share some favorite Christmas songs, and you’ll get to raise your voices in joyful singing as well!

The event is free, but we invite you to consider bringing some non-perishable food items for the church’s food basket, which supports the local food pantry.

BOLSTERS MILLS — The Bolsters Mills United Methodist Church is excited to announce the upcoming Christmas Concert to benefit area Teens Experiencing Homelessness. The Concert Sing-a-along will be held on Sunday December 4 at 2 p.m. at the Bolsters Mills United Methodist Church on the Bolsters Mills Rd, in Harrison.

Hoorah

PARIS — On Saturday, December 3 there will be a Holiday Hoorah, held at the Oxford Hills Middle School, 100 Pine St, Paris, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be basket raffles, games, crafts, and 50/50 raffle. Pictures with Santa will be offered for $5. Food and drink concessions will be available. Admission for kids will be $5, parents get in free. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Oxford Hills Class of 2026.

Crafts

NORWAY — Students in grades 7-12 can drop into the Norway Memorial Library teen room on Wednesdays after school to make a monthly featured craft.

Crafternoons are for teen makers, crafters, and DIY-ers or teens wanting to try something new. The December craft is a book-themed tree ornament, which can be filled with miniature copies of the books read this year, or favorites. There is no charge to participate.
