NORWAY — The Table, located at 160 Main Street, continues to be busy, offering Weekly Free clothing give away, free breakfast (Norway Grange), recovery groups, LEG (Ladies Encouragement/Enrichment Group), and activities with the “HOG” (Healthy Outdoor Group).

Weekly Free Breakfast: The Table is offering in-person breakfasts with the option of pick-up-to-go meals every Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m. at the Norway Grange, 15 Whitman St. in Norway. The Table is always interested in other teams who would like to take a Saturday and serve breakfast. The in-person breakfasts have been a great way to combat food insecurity, as well as fulfilling a social need for many in the area. Please come and join us…”there’s always room at The Table.”

Table’s HOG (Healthy Outdoor Group) continues to hike. Please, follow The Table’s Facebook page for schedules. The HOG is a group of people enjoying the beautiful state of Maine and sharing it with others. The group is not a professional group. The HOG kayaks from June through September, and hike from October through May.

The Table LEG: The Table LEG (Ladies Encouragement/Enrichment Group) is a new program for The Table. The group meets each Monday morning at 6:30 a.m. at The Square Restaurant in Paris. The group follows the devotional reading of The Upper Room, shares with each other and offers hope and encouragement for the week ahead. All women are welcome. There is no registration, simply show up.

Free Clothing: The Table continues to offer free clothing on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 1 p.m.-5 p.m., as well as the last Saturday of each month from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. There is a variety of clothing available for all, and in many sizes. The Table is located at 160 Main St. in Norway (across the road from the hospital). Staff will be on hand to help customers find specific clothing to aid in an efficient flow through the building. The Table accepts donations of lightly used clothing and footwear on the first two weeks of each month on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 1 p.m.-5 p.m. We are also in great need of children’s lightly used or new clothing and shoes. Money to purchase new socks and underwear would also be very much appreciated. We are very blessed by a generous community that donates to The Table, which enables us to be there for people in their hardest of times.

We are currently seeking an additional free space to house our clothing ministry. We would be very interested in talking with any person or business who may have an empty in-town building, and wants to give back to the community. We are always looking for community partnerships that will help us provide for the needs of our community.

The Table, at 160 Main St. Norway, offers space for area recovery groups. On Tuesdays at 7 p.m. is Narcotics Anonymous, Wednesdays at 7 p.m. is Alcoholics Anonymous, and Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. are Al-Anon meetings.

In-person church worship services begin at 9 a.m. and are followed by fellowship. All are welcome to join us on Sunday mornings at 9 a.m.
