Kirby A. Gurschick

AUBURN – Kirby A. Gurschick, 65, of Auburn, passed away on Friday, Dec. 2, 2022, at the Hospice House in Auburn with his wife Karen by his side. Born in Rumford on Nov. 13, 1957, he was the son of Karl and Evelyn Wilbur Gurschick.

Kirby graduated from Rumford High School, Class of ‘77. He married his wife Karen in 1978, and together they raised two sons and were approaching their 45th wedding anniversary. His greatest joy was spending time with family, and he enjoyed drag racing, fishing, and camping.

Kirby is survived by his loving wife Karen; two sons, Andrew and husband Scott Kingan, and Matthew; a granddaughter, Lilyahna; a brother, Keith, two sisters, Kathy Gurschick and Karen Crowley; and many nieces and nephews.

His family would like to thank Dr. Gayle and the staffs of CMMC and the Hospice House for the care and love they provided.

Services will be held at the Albert & Burpee Funeral Home on Friday, Dec. 9, with visitation from noon to 2 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. Memories may be shared at http://www.albert-burpee.com.
