Dolores F. Bilodeau

DURHAM – Dolores F. Bilodeau, 96, formerly of Lewiston, peacefully passed away at her home with her loving family by her side, on Dec. 13, 2022.

She was born in Lewiston on Oct. 30, 1926, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Anne (Desilets) Michaud. She attended St. Mary’s School and graduated from Lewiston High School in 1945.

In 1947 she married Angelo Bilodeau and together they raised five children, four of whom are living. She worked at Bonneau’s Supermarket and then at St. Croix Credit Union, now Central Maine Credit Union, until her retirement.

She loved to travel, do crossword puzzles, read and attend family outings. She will be deeply missed by many.

She is survived by her daughter, Elaine Chenard and her husband Rob of Durham, sons Gary and his wife Cathy of Durham, Dave and his wife Janet of Sabattus and Paul and his wife Kathleen of Greene. She also leaves behind many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Angelo; her son, Dennis, who died in Africa in 2009; her grandsons Dana Bilodeau and Derrick Morris; her sister, Laurianne Michaud, and two brothers, Raymond and Laurier Michaud.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at a later date at Holy Family Church in Lewiston followed by committal prayers and burial at Maine Veterans Cemetery in Augusta. Arrangements are under the care of Albert and Burpee Funeral and Cremation Services, 253 Pine St., Lewiston, 782-7201
