SALEM — Payton Mitchell scored 21 points and Kayden Pillsbury added 14 as Mt. Abram rolled past with St. Dom’s with a 77-39 victory in a boys basketball game Tuesday.

Bryce Wilcox and Tucker Plouffe each scored 10 points for Mt. Abram (2-1). The Saints were held to 13 points in the first half. Taylor Varney led St. Dom’s with 13 points for the game.

OXFORD HILLS 80, DEERING 50: Teigan Pelletier scored a game-high 21 points as the Vikings (3-0) pulled away from the Rams (0-3) in Paris.

Deering led 18-13 after one quarter, with Evan Legassey scoring 10 of his 21 points in the period. Oxford Hills then outscored the Rams 19-6 in the second quarter to take a 32-24 lead into halftime.

Cole Pulkkinen and Holden Shaw each added 18 points for Oxford Hills.

BANGOR 34, EDWARD LITTLE 31: Damon Gonsalves scored the team-high seven points and dropped in a 3-pointer in the Rams’ (1-2) victory over the Red Eddies (1-3).

Eli St. Laurent scored the game-high 16 points and knocked down four 3-pointers for Edward Little.

Neither team scored a point in the second quarter, as Bangor took a 15-6 lead into halftime. The Edward Little deficit was six points heading into the fourth quarter. St. Laurent scored eight of his points in the fourth to try and rally the Red Eddies.

MARANACOOK 75, POLAND 70: Brayden St. Pierre scored 19 points to lead the Black Bears to a win over the Knights in Readfield.

Keagan McClure scored 14 points, while Nick Wilson added 12 points for Maranacook (2-1).

John Patenaude led Poland (2-2) with 33 points. Hayden Christner added 15 points.

MT. BLUE 82, GARDINER 36: Evans Sterling scored 21 points as the Cougars (3-1) won easily at Gardiner.

Jayden Meader added 15 points for Mt. Blue, while Nolan Leso added 14 and Nicolo Barbieri 10.

Cody Dingwell scored 10 points for Gardiner (0-3), and Zach Kristan pulled down 11 rebounds.

SACOPEE VALLEY 64, BUCKFIELD 56: Tyler Easterbrooks paced the Hawks (1-3) with 15 points in a non-conference nail-biter over the Bucks (0-4) in Hiram.

Ayden Jefferson scored a game-high 26 points for Buckfield.

KENNEBUNK 67, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 63: Jacob Thompson scored 21 points and George Lazos had 19 as the Rams (2-1) edged the Patriots (1-2) in Kennebunk.

Noah Hebert led Gray-New Gloucester with 18 points. Nate Hebert added 15.

LEAVITT 58, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 57, 2OT: Sawyer Hathaway had 28 points, eight rebounds, five assists and four steals as the Hornets (1-3) edged the Raiders (1-2) in double overtime at Fryeburg.

Hathaway made 12 of 14 free throws, including two late in the second overtime to put Leavitt ahead. The Hornets defense then made a stop to secure the victory.

Aiden Turcotte chipped in with nine points for Leavitt, while Nick Morin and Sawyer Bubier scored seven each.

Gunnar Saunders scored 24 points for Fryeburg Academy. Bryce Richardson added 15 points and Camden Johnson hit three 3-pointers and scored 13.

GIRLS BASKETBALL
OXFORD HILLS 58, DEERING 26: Sierra Carson had 22 points and seven assists and Ella Pelletier scored 20 and pulled down 18 rebounds as the Vikings (4-0) cruised past the Rams (0-3) at Portland.

Molly Corbett knocked down a pair of 3s for six points for Oxford Hills.

Natalie Santiago and Nyabhana Lia led Deering with 12 and 10 points, respectively. Lia hit three 3-pointers and Santiago made two.

WINDHAM 62, LEWISTON 34: Neve Ledbetter scored 13 points to lead the Eagles (2-2) over the Blue Devils (0-4) in Windham.

Kylie Garrison had 12 points and Abbey Thornton finished with 11 for Windham.

Koral Morin scored 13 to lead Lewiston. Natalie Beaudoin had 11 points.

GARDINER 59, MT. BLUE 16: Lizzy Gruber scored 16 points and Taryn Nichols had 12 as the Tigers (3-0) rolled to victory over the Cougars (1-3) in Farmington.

Bree Griffin, Kensley Malcore and Kara Daggett each scored four points for Mt. Blue.

LAKE REGION 66, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 34: Melissa Mayo scored 14 of 24 points in the third quarter to lead the Lakers (2-1) past the Falcons (2-2) at Naples.

Margo Tremblay added 15 points. Brooke Brown scored 13 points for Mountain Valley.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 63, KENNEBUNK 27: Izzy Morelli drained five 3-pointers as part of her 25-point showing and the Patriots (3-0) clamped down on defense after the first quarter to rout the Rams (2-2) in Gray.

Gray-New Gloucester held a 16-14 lead after eight minutes, then held Kennebunk to three points in the second quarter and two in the third.

Ella Kenney added 12 points for the Patriots, and Ali Portas and Caitlin Taylor each scored seven.

Skylar Holder paced the Rams with eight points, and Cassie Mackenzie, Kendall Therrien and Simone Houdlette each scored six.

GIRLS HOCKEY
MT. ARARAT/LISBON/MORSE/LINCOLN/OCEANSIDE/BOOTHBAY 4, FALMOUTH/SCARBOROUGH 1: Salin Bachor scored a pair of goals to help lead the Eagles (3-0) past the Navigators (0-4-1) at Family Ice Center in Falmouth.

Allie Hunter and Remy LeBel also scored for the Eagles. LeBel added an assist, as did Alex Durant, and Marley LeBel tallied two helpers.

Hope Melevsky scored the long Falmouth/Scarborough goal, assisted by Audrey Farnham and Trinity Grenier.

Emma Morrison made 32 saves for the Eagles, while Ella Wiley turned away 17 shots for the Navigators.

BOYS HOCKEY
FRYEBURG/LAKE REGION/OXFORD HILLS 3, GORHAM 2: Owen Galligan scored two goals and Caleb Micklon tallied a goal and two assists as the Ice Cats (2-2) edged the Rams (2-2) in Bridgton.

Micklon opened the scoring in the first period, then assisted on Galligan’s goal just over a minute later to make it 2-0.

Jack Reidy got Gorham on the board in the second period, but Galligan answered with his second goal, assisted by Micklon and Brenan Ellis. Rediy assisted on Emitt Sullivan’s third-period goal to round out the scoring.

Nate Metcalf made 24 saves for the Ice Cats and Jasper Crane stopped 23 shots for Gorham.
