I regret that I cannot vote on the protection of Lake Auburn in Lewiston. As a Lewiston resident and citizen I have no voice except for the Lake Auburn Watershed Protection Commission.

The residents of Lewiston would have to share in the cost to install a filtration system— $45 million plus $2 million a year after it is installed. This would raise the water bill and taxes in both communities.

Lewiston uses more water than Auburn. Lewiston should have equal legal ability to make the decision.

As a citizen I feel I have a right vote on the Lake Auburn issue as citizens in Lewiston should.
