Sue Stevens

AUBURN – Sue Stevens, 82, a resident of Livermore Falls and recently of Farmington, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2022, at Androscoggin Hospice House in Auburn. She was born on Feb. 9, 1940, to Millicent (Dolloff) and Wesley “Pete” Stevens in Livermore Falls.

Sue attended schools in Livermore Falls and graduated from Livermore Falls High School with the class of 1958. Sue loved to do crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, coloring, playing cards, and reading. She also loved to walk and in her younger years she could be seen all around town visiting many businesses and chatting with friends.

She was a volunteer with “Friends Together Peer Support and Recovery Center” in Chisholm and in Livermore Falls before they closed. In 2001, she moved to an apartment in the Bank Building where she was always looking out for the elderly and in time they looked out for her as well. She will be sadly missed by many.

She is survived by her sister Diane Lavoie of Canton, special nephew Arthur Lavoie and wife LeeAnna and special great nephew Jaziah all of Jay; her sister-in-law Joyce Stevens of New Hampshire, three nephews and a niece; and many cousins. She was predeceased by her parents; her brother Robert Stevens, and her brother-in-law George Lavoie.

 A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Jan. 6, 2023, at Finley Funeral Home, 15 Church Street, Livermore Falls, Maine. Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment in the spring at Pleasant View Cemetery, 51 Fayette Road, Livermore Falls, Maine.
