BETHEL  — Telstar pulled away in the second quarter and earned its first win of the season by beating Wiscasset 54-29 in a boys basketball game on Tuesday.

The Rebels (1-4) turned a 12-8 lead after one quarter to a 30-15 advantage by halftime. Jonny Marshall hit three 3-pointers and scored a team-high 13 points for the Rebels. Wyatt Lilly added 12 points.

Wiscasset’s (0-5) Cory Ricker led all scorers with 14 points.

LISBON 36, OAK HILL 27: Levi Tibbets scored 14 points and Owen Smith added another eight in the Greyhounds’ (3-2) victory over the Raiders in Lisbon.

Ethan Vattaso scored 15 points for Oak Hill (1-5).

CARRABEC 55, BUCKFIELD 36: Luke Carey scored 21 points as the Cobras (3-3) evened their record with a win at North Anson.

Joel Gehrke added 18 points for Carrabec .

Ayden Jefferson scored a game-high 22 pints for Buckfield (1-5).

CAPE ELIZABETH 64, POLAND 39: Owen Tighe scored 17 points and went 4-for-5 from the free throw line as the Capers (3-2) slipped past the Knights (2-4) in Poland.

Antonio Dell’Aquila added 12 points and Ben Altenburg dropped in 10 for Cape Elizabeth.

Shane Yorkey scored 16 points for Poland.

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 69, BOOTHBAY 43:  Elie Timler scored eight of his game-high 16 points in the third quarter as the Phoenix (6-1) soared past the Seahawks (3-3) in Jay.

Ian York (15 points), Lucas Towers (12) and Jace Bessey (11) also finished in double figures for Spruce Mountain.

Gryffin Kristan and Finn Harkins paced Boothbay with 10 points apiece.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 60, FRYEBURG 47: Nate Herbert drained nine 3-pointers and scored a game-high 29 points in the Patriots’ (4-2) victory over the Raiders (2-3) in Gray.

Noah Herbert added 13 points and Aiden Hebert scored nine for Gray-New Gloucester, which held Fryeburg to 12 first-half points and led 33-12 at halftime.

Gunnar Saunders topped the Raiders with 16 points, and Bryce Richardson added 10.

EDWARD LITTLE 64, DEERING 54: Eli St. Laurent knocked down four 3-pointers and scored 21 points to lead the Red Eddies (3-5) past the Rams (0-6) in Portland.

Marshal Adams contributed 14 points, Landon Cougle scored 13 and Mohamed Adow finished with 11 for Edward Little.

Tripp Marston (three 3-pointers) led Deering with 13 points, and Evan Legassey and David Otti added 11 points each.

DIRIGO 51, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 38: Nathaniel Wainwright’s career-high 26 points helped push the Cougars (7-0) past the rival Falcons (2-4) in Rumford.

Dakota Tompkins also finished in double figures for Dirigo, with 10 points.

Zach New paced Mountain Valley with 16 points, and Jake New added eight.

LEAVITT 56, BRUNSWICK 54: Sawyer Hathaway scored 26 points as the Hornets (2-5) escaped with a win over the Dragons (1-5) in Leavitt.

Hathaway hit four 3-pointers. Brett Coburn put up 12 points and Aiden Turcotte added 10 for Leavitt.

Thomas Harvey scored 17 points to lead Brunswick. Trevor Gerrish and Jared Similien each had 14.

ST. DOMINIC 59, TRAIP 51: The Saints (2-4) outscored the Rangers (2-4) 17-4 in the fourth quarter to collect an WMC win in Auburn.

Taylor Varney led all scorers with 22 points for St. Dom’s, and Campbell Perryman pitched in with 17.

David Durling paced Traip with 19 points, including five 3-pointers, while Ben Hawkes added 14.

Both teams shot well from the free-throw line, with the Saints converting 10 of 14 attempts and the Rangers missing just one of their nine foul shots.

LEWISTON 49, HAMPDEN 41: The Blue Devils (5-2) outscored the Broncos (3-5) in the second quarter to take a lead and earn a road win in Hampden.

Yusuf Dukane paced Lewiston’s offensive attack with 19 points, and Jibril Holloman added 16.

JJ Wolfington led Hampden with 17 points, while Zach McLaughlin scored 12.

CAPE ELIZABETH 36, POLAND 22: Olivia Manning scored 12 points as the Capers (2-3) beat the Knights (0-5) in Cape Elizabeth.

Grace Callahan and Meghan Conley each had eight points for Cape.

Althea Thornton led Poland with nine.

BRUNSWICK 43, LEAVITT 22: Kelsie Carlton totaled 11 points, seven steals and three assists to help the Dragons (6-0) down Leavitt (4-3) at Brunswick.

Dakota Shipley scored 12 points for Brunswick, which limited Leavitt to four free throws in the first half while opening up a 27-4 lead.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 55, FRYEBURG 33: Izzy Morelli led all scorers with 14 points as the Patriots (4-1) brushed off the Raiders (0-5) with a win in Fryeburg.

Sydney Shaw led Fryeburg with 13 points.

OXFORD HILLS 63, PORTLAND 24: Tristen Derenburger scored a game-high 15 points on five 3-pointers and Maddy Miller scored all 14 of her points from inside the arc as the Vikings (7-0) raced past the Bulldogs (2-4) in Paris.

Molly Corbett also finished in double figures for Oxford Hills, with 11 points, including adding three 3s as part of the Vikings’ team total of 11.

Eliza Stein scored a team-high eight points for Portland.

HAMPDEN 54, LEWISTON 37: Lucy Wiles and Bella McLaughlin paced the Broncos (4-3) to a road win over the Blue Devils (1-6) in Lewiston.

Wiles made three 3-pointers and scored a team-high 19 points, and McLaughlin made two treys and finished with 14 points.

Lewiston’s Natalie Beaudoin went 11 for 11 from the free-throw line and tied Wiles for the game-high with 19 points. Koral Morin added seven points.
