Beverly Jeanette Douglas
NORWAY – On Thursday, Jan. 5, 2023, Beverly took her last breaths wrapped in prayer and surrounded by the love of her family.
Beverly was born July 31, 1935. At 87 years old she had accomplished a lot in her life. Her proudest being her family.
She grew up in Welchville, raised by her loving grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Scribner. Her most treasured days were spent at Hogan Pond just down the road from their family poultry farm where she worked alongside her aunts and uncles. This is where her work ethic came from and continued throughout her life. Taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren was her proudest job. If you were lucky enough to know Beverly you knew how much taking care of others was her top priority. Her hair was never out of place, she dressed to impress and loved beyond any words that could take up this column. Her smile was contagious and often a permanent fixture. Her faith in the Lord carried her through many trials and tribulations in her life. Her love for Jesus has been and continues to be spread through the generations.
She left behind her younger brother David Toothaker, his wife Theresa and their loving family. She is survived by her children, Bill (Grace) of Arundel, Debbie of Biddeford, Becky (Ray) of Arundel, Marylou (Mike) of Hebron, Tim (Kathy) of Oxford, 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, two great-great- grandchildren, and her daughter-in-law Cindy, wife of deceased son Dougie.
At this time there will be no services. A special celebration of life and memorial walk will be held in her honor in the Spring.
Arrangements are under the care of Chandler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 45 Main Street, South Paris.
