Paul Poliquin: Let the mayor speak

As a former city councilor and council president for 10 years, I served with four mayors.

They were Alfred Plourde, Maurice Labbe, Jim Howaneic and John Jenkins. All were great mayors.

I always wanted to know what the mayors thought on any agenda item facing Lewiston and its residents.

All four mayors spoke out on agenda items they felt passionate about.

In my opinion, it is important for Mayor Carl Sheline to speak. In the end, the final decision comes from the City Council and a vote.
