WATERVILLE — A Waterville police officer and two other people were taken to the hospital Saturday afternoon with non-life-threatening injuries following a crash on Kennedy Memorial Drive.

Acting Waterville police Chief Bill Bonney confirmed Saturday that Officer Mikayla Hodge and two others were taken to the hospital.

He said Winslow police were called to investigate it, as departments do not investigate crashes that involve their own officers. Bonney said he did not have further information on the nature or extent of the crash.

Contacted Saturday, Winslow police said they could not release any information on the crash.

It occurred near Aroma Joe’s, which is west of the entrance to JFK Plaza.
